ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project is included in the “Athens Resilient City” program which is financed by the European Investment Bank (E.I.B.). It involves the restoration and the energy efficiency upgrade of the well-known Primary School designed by Dimitris Pikionis in the 1930’s. It is characterized as a listed Building Monument by the Ministry of Culture. We had been selected after a competition process, from the E.I.B. to act as the architectural experts for the project implementation. That involved the elaboration of the architectural restoration study incorporating passive and active means of energy conservation.
