The renovation of a seafront private residence in the north of the island of Antiparos was based on the concept design of Antonas Office and Atelier A66. Four existing buildings are functionally connected through a system of pergolas. Several layers of privacy are achieved through the placement and shading of each function, without the use of architectural elements and obstacles. The pergolas, with their asymmetrical grid and various shading panels and materials, form a particularly vivid roof over the outdoor living spaces. While moving from the street towards the seafront, the tall fencing protecting the private grounds, is gradually disappearing, to finally provide an unobstructed view of the sea and direct access to the beach. A unique outdoor living area is formed around the pool, with the outdoor kitchen and dining spaces, offering tranquillity and connection with the natural surroundings.
